Business Engineering Introduces Readiness RoadmapSM
Innovative Program Identifies Cost Savings without Job Cuts

Business Engineering has developed and launched its READINESS ROADMAPSM – an operations assessment program designed to identify areas of substantial cost reduction without major job reductions. .

Most businesses have experienced a reduction in revenues over the last two years and have taken steps to cut costs, usually in the form of job cuts. As the economy recovers, companies must balance current cost reduction needs with retaining resources needed for future growth opportunities.

Our READINESS ROADMAPSM assessment analyzes all costs based on current and future business needs. Specifically, we look at materials, labor, overhead, inventory, capacity, facilities, supply chain, logistics, systems and financials. The assessment takes from one to four weeks depending on the scope of work required.

  Our Approach:
Analyze data and interview key team members
Draw on experience, benchmarking and creative thinking to identify opportunities
Quantify all benefits and costs
Prioritize and estimate implementation timing
Summarize impact on the business
  Our Results (an example):
Identified over $1 million savings for an $80 million manufacturer in shift pattern changes, equipment
utilization and production run quantity changes
Retained a key customer through the implementation of Quality standards across three plants
Identified $2 million in one-time savings and $1 million in annual savings by rationalizing three facilities
